Announcement
Congratulations to Mr. Gil Nonato C. Santos for successfully defending his PhD Thesis on "Fabrication and Characterization of SnO2 Nanomaterials via Horizontal Vapor Phase Growth" last May 28, 2007 at the Audio Visual Room, National Institute of Physics, College of Science, UPD.  Mr. Santos dissertation Adviser is Dr. Arnel A. Salvador, Professor of Physics.

New Graduates
Two new MS graduate students successfully defended their thesis last October 2006.

Miss Ayn Hazel G. Manuel defended her thesis on Growth of YBa2Cu3O7-δ(Y-123) and YBa2Cu3(1-x)Fe3xO7-δ3 via the Combined Method of Powder Deposition and Liquid Phase Sintering Technique (YBCFO) Films grown on LaAlO via the Combined Method of Powder Deposition and Liquid Phase Sintering Technique.

Mr. John Vincent Misa, on the other hand, defended his thesis on Fabrication and Characterization of InGaAs/InAlAs Semiconductor Structures Lattice Matched on (100) InP Grown in Molecular Beam Epitaxy.

Miss Manuel was our MSEP research assistant and is now employed in a multinational semiconductor company while Mr. Misa intends to pursue his PhD and is practicing as research assistant in one of our laboratories.
