College of Science Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CSMPC)

he College of Science Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CSMPC), which was organized to help augment the meager income of CS employees, is now fully implementing its plans and projects for 2007. Officially registered with the Cooperative Development Authority and the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the CSMPC is now ready to expand its photocopying services to different units in the College of Science. It is proud to announce that it has an approved contract with the University Business Concessions Office to operate photocopying machines. The Cooperative also accepts ring binding and bookbinding services.

Last March 20, 2007, the CSMPC held its 2nd General Assembly at the College of Science Library and Administration Building. Among the activities of the General Assembly were the presentation of the Chairman and Treasurer's Reports, distribution of dividends and rice gift to its members. The CSMPC has future plans of offering CS souvenir/memorabilia items and student school supplies at popular prices.

In June, 2007, CSMPC is collaborating some projects with the College of Science Library in celebrating its 20th anniversary. The planned projects are the Science Book Fair, a herbal and plant bazaar, a CS souvenir items mini shoppe and other fund-raising campaigns.

The CSMPC is inviting all the regular administrative staff of the College to become members of the Cooperative.

For more information, please contact the CSMPC Secretary, Mrs. Gigi Dagsan- Winchester (VOIP 3803; 9247674).
