CWTS Program Holds 1st CS Science Camp PDF Print E-mail
The CS CWTS program aims to promote health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, and holistic development of the citizenry through science. The goal is to produce socially responsible and patriotic scientists who are unceasingly devoted to inquiry and promotion of scientific culture in the service of humanity.  One of the challenges that we face today is the need to increase the number of Filipino scientists who would be vital in introducing technological innovations for nation-building and development.

The CWTS Program is holding its first CS Science Camp to encourage 2nd and/or 3rd year high school students from public and private schools near UP Diiman, to pursue science careers by igniting their curiosity and engaging their interest in the basic and applied sciences and mathematics. The science camp consists of different booths, manned by the CWTS students, that will showcase different practical theories in Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Marine Science, Mathematics, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, and Physics. It is held from 8:00am-4:00pm on all Mondays for the month of February 2011 – the 14th, 21st, 28th in the . National Science Complex Amphitheater.
